Is it wrong to like this song? Don't answer that, I already know it is but I can't help myself. I like to think that I have a good taste in music. I tend to shy away from bands that are popular on music stations whether it be TV or radio because the material lacks depth. My three main bands are Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam and Radiohead, none of which can be construed as 'corporate'. But there are some rare occurrences where a pop song will stick in my head and I will like it even though my brain realizes that it is fluff. Such is the case with this song.
Is it wrong to think Katy Perry is hot? She looks tremendous at the tail end of that video, in the scene with the breakdancers. It also doesn't hurt that she is smuggling some giant melons under those tight outfits.
I think I like her because she looks like a bustier Zooey Deschanel. It also doesn't hurt when she looks like this in a bikini:
